This unit covers the competency required to Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment. It includes demonstrating and explaining to clients how to correctly and safely use portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets in an emergency situation. Small facility emergencies may include such incidents as a fire that can be controlled using a nearby first attack firefighting equipment. CPPFES2005 is an essential course requirement for certain industries such as mining, gas or aviation.
