Site Supervisor Training

This course is designed for those required to undertake supervisory roles in the resources and infrastructure industry. The training consists of the following 3 nationally accredited units of competency (which are required competencies for statutory coal mining positions as determined by the Coal Mining Safety and Health Advisory Committee):

  • RIIRIS301E Apply Risk Management Processes
  • RIIWHS301E Conduct Safety and Health Investigations
  • RIICOM301E Communicate Information

Cost

$350 per unit of competency (these courses may be completed separately)
$999 TOTAL per participant

Duration

3 days
1 day per unit of competency (approximately 8 hours)

Content Summary

  • The course is structured to ensure the learner has the skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of the 3 units of competency including:
  • Risk management
    • the appropriate identification of hazards and analysis of risk
    • selection and implementation of control measures
    • use of risk management concepts to effectively supervise workers
  • Incident investigation
    • determining objectives
    • gathering and evaluating information
    • identifying actions and making appropriate recommendations to reduce risk of a recurrence
    • presenting reports
  • Communicate information
    • verbal and written communication
    • achieving meeting outcomes
    • delivering a presentation
    • negotiating in the workplace

CSQ funding is paid directly to Dawsons Training. Where CSQ funding doesn’t cover the full cost of the program, you will be required to contribute towards the remaining course fees.
